Privacy Policy
Last updated 26 August 2026
This policy explains what personal information the Amplify Legal website collects, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and the choices available to you.
1. Scope
This policy applies to the Amplify Legal website. It does not cover information you provide to us once we have been formally engaged as your legal advisers; that information is governed by our client engagement terms and by our professional duties of confidentiality.
2. Information we collect
We collect only what you choose to send us, and a minimal, anonymous record of site usage.
Information you submit
When you complete the contact form or the consultation request form, we collect the details you enter ? your name, email address, telephone number, organisation, the practice area you select, and the content of your message.
Anonymous usage information
If, and only if, you select “Allow” on the consent banner, we record the page you viewed, the country the request came from, and the date. We do not store your IP address, your location coordinates, your device details or any identifier. These records cannot be linked to you, and they cannot be linked to one another.
If you select “Decline”, no usage record is created at all.
3. Why we use it
- To respond to your enquiry or consultation request.
- To assess whether we are able to act for you, including checking for conflicts of interest.
- To understand, in aggregate, which parts of this website are useful ? where you have consented.
- To meet legal, regulatory and professional obligations that apply to us.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it to send marketing you have not asked for.
4. Our basis for processing
We process enquiry details because you have asked us to consider your matter, and because we have a legitimate interest in responding to people who contact the firm. We process anonymous usage information only on the basis of your consent, which you may withdraw at any time by clearing this site’s cookies.
5. Cookies
This site sets two cookies. A session cookie keeps your form submission secure while you are completing it, and is deleted when you close your browser. A consent cookie remembers whether you allowed or declined usage recording, so that we do not ask you again on every page.
We do not use advertising cookies, third-party analytics or tracking pixels. Our fonts and icons are served from our own servers, so viewing this site does not report your visit to any third party.
6. How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are deleted once they are no longer needed. Where we are engaged, your information becomes part of the client file and is retained in line with our professional and regulatory obligations.
7. Who we share it with
Your information is seen by the lawyers and staff at Amplify Legal who need it in order to respond to you. Enquiry notifications are delivered through our email provider. We do not disclose your information to anyone else unless you ask us to, or unless we are required to do so by law or by a regulator.
8. How we protect it
Form submissions are validated on our servers and stored in a database that is not publicly reachable. Access is restricted to authorised accounts, protected by individually hashed passwords and session controls. Our forms carry protection against cross-site request forgery and automated abuse.
9. Your rights
You may ask us to confirm what information we hold about you, to correct it if it is wrong, to provide a copy of it, or to delete it where we are not required to keep it. You may also withdraw your consent to usage recording at any time. We will respond to any such request without undue delay.
10. Contacting us about privacy
Write to us at info@amplifylegal.co.tz, or by post to Amplify Legal, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
11. Changes to this policy
We will update this page whenever our practices change, and will revise the “last updated” date shown above.
